[Bug 2141697] Re: Intermittent black screen after logging in on kernel 6.17.0-14-generic

Confirm same bug on Lenovo IdeaPad S145-15IIL, the issue does not occur
on my Thinkpad T14-Gen4. In my case I am able to login without problems
but the screen goes black after a short while and the system is in a
total freeze (CTRL-ALT-DEL not CTRL-ALT-ESC work, i didn't try REISUB, I
gave up and reverted back to 6.14)

Title:
Intermittent black screen after logging in on kernel 6.17.0-14-generic

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed

Bug description:
1) On Linux Mint 22.3, update to 6.17.0-14-generic
2) Disable auto-login
3) Reboot
4) Enter your password and press Enter to log in

Intermittently, (4/10 tries), instead of loading to desktop, you will
get a black screen instead. No mouse cursor or response to inputs.

Workaround: Power off the PC with the power button and try again

Version.log: Ubuntu 6.17.0-14.14~24.04.1-generic 6.17.9
