nano /etc/default/grub
->GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="intel_iommu=on"

update-grub
reboot

Error on boot:

gave up waiting for root file system
missing modules
Alert UUID=xxxx does not exist dropping to shell
