Ubuntu Cinnamon 26.04.1. Kernel versions 7.0.0-30 and 7.0.0-31. /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight exists. brightnessctl changes 234/937 to 796/937. The hardware panel’s brightness does not change. nomodeset removal successfully enabled i915 but did not restore functional backlight control. I worked this situation using Perplexity and ended up here. The keyboard does change the OSD value but the brightness doesn't change.
