The GNOME brightness slider moves normally. brightnessctl successfully changes: /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness Example: brightnessctl set 10% reports success and the brightness value changes, but the physical display brightness never changes. Booting back into Linux 6.17.0-40 restores correct brightness control immediately. This appears to be a regression introduced in Linux 7.0.
