Following a recent BIOS update via Windows, the i8042 controller successfully probes and mounts the keyboard without the Error -5 crashes it had previously. dmesg confirms the mount: [ 0.503092] serio: i8042 KBD port at 0x60,0x64 irq 1 However, evtest and raw TTY terminals register zero input. The driver is loaded, but physical keystrokes trigger no interrupts. This appears to be an ACPI table or IRQ routing issue specific to this Meteor Lake motherboard where IRQ 1 is not reaching the OS.
