In some cases, after rebinding the device, setting power/control to "auto" no longer turns off the LED. The device appears to be stuck in an active state and does not enter suspend. Symptoms: - LED is ON right after boot - No process is using /dev/video0 (fuser/lsof show nothing) - uvcvideo module is loaded and cannot be removed (in use) - Issue reproduced on kernels: - 6.17.0-22-generic - 7.0.0-15-generic Workaround: Unbinding USB device turns camera off: echo -n "1-6" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/unbind Rebinding restores it: echo -n "1-6" > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb/bind This suggests a problem in uvcvideo / USB power management.
