[Bug 1822089] Re: Frequent (silent) USB disconnects with Dell TB16 dock

The task "linux (Ubuntu)" has expired because it has had no new comments or updates for more than three years. If this issue is still present in an Ubuntu LTS kernel still under active support, please reopen the bug and provide updated details. If this issue was reported against an Ubuntu kernel no longer under active support but the issue still exists in a currently supported Ubuntu kernel, please open a new bug against that kernel version and provide the updated details, with a reference link to the original bug. This action was performed by an automated process maintained by the Ubuntu Kernel Team. ** Tags added: kernel-autoclosed kernel-autoclosed-expired ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. Keyboard stops responding frequently. There is no output in dmesg when this happens. If I later unplug the keyboard I see a disconnection message in dmesg and I can reconnect it to the same port. Sometimes it works for a day after this, other times it works for <60s. Other devices disconnect too but the pattern is different. Much more likely to see the disconnect under heavy load, such as webcam/headset getting disconnected during a conference call. --- ProblemType: Bug ApportVersion: 2.20.10-0ubuntu27 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC4: shaun 2837 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC3: shaun 2837 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC1: shaun 2837 F.... pulseaudio /dev/snd/controlC0: shaun 2837 F.... pulseaudio CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME DistroRelease: Ubuntu 19.04 InstallationDate: Installed on 2018-12-11 (133 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 18.10 "Cosmic Cuttlefish" - Release amd64 (20181017.3) MachineType: Dell Inc.
