I also downloaded the deb files directly from ubuntu.pkgs.org
broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1_all.deb
broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-23ubuntu1.1_all.deb
broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-26_amd64.deb

All of these gave the exact same results of failure.
