[Bug 2139567] [NEW] Graphics with Intel Arc B50 Pro and Ubuntu Mate 26.04 Non-Functional

I upgraded my workstation which is functional under 24.04 to 26.04
and it worked for text but as soon as graphics tried to start the screen
went black and there was no sync.

To eliminate the potential for it simply being a local
configuration error I burned an ISO to thumb drive of the daily build of
Ubuntu Mate 26.04, it had the same behavior. Text OK, graphical mode
screen goes black and no sync.

I am running a custom kernel on my workstation but the USB thumb
was with the distribution kernel. This eliminates the kernel itself
and/or xe drivers.

I removed wayland from the installation in case it was interfering
with Xorg and tried both the mode setting kernel based server and xorg-
xserver-video-intel server, neither worked.
