[Bug 2077260] Re: [i915] Screen freezes on Intel Arrandale in kernels >= 6.8.0-45

FYI, this doesn't seem to affect kernels 6.14.0-x or 6.17.0-x on Ubuntu
24.04, even without additional boot parameters. Tested on my Dell
Latitude e6410, which is affected on Kernels 6.8.0-x and 6.11.0-x. I
suspect users of Ubuntu 25.04 and 25.10 aren't affected by this, but I
could be wrong, and I haven't tested those versions.

Now, if we could backport the fixes to kernels 6.8.0 and 6.11.0, that
would be good. Honestly, on those kernels, Ubuntu is completely unusable
out of the box.

Bug description:
freeze after updating to newest kernel on log in sreen or just after
log in (6.8.0-45 ?). Had to use Grub to rester to 6.5.0-45
