Bug description:
When multiple high bandwidth sinks are connected (such as 3 high
resolution monitors connected to a USB4 dock) there may be a need to
use different colorspaces to accomplish a picture on the displays.
This role can be done by a compositor, but in practice mutter doesn't
do it.
Instead changes have been made in amdgpu that can allow progressively
falling back through these combinations if the sink supports it.
- RGB
- YUV422 8bpc (bandwidth efficient)
- YUV422 6bpc (reduced color depth)
- YUV420 (last resort)
This should allow more cases to work properly out of the box.
