Bug description:

If I have the device connected when I choose suspend to RAM then
display blanks, suspend fails and system does not respond to any user
input except power button.

Workaround:
Unbind "usb" driver from the device manually before suspending. That can be done to work automatically by a special script in /lib/systemd/system-sleep. Unbinding has the side effect that a new sink is created on resume from suspend.
