Public bug reported:
CONFIG_READ_ONLY_THP_FOR_FS allows transparent hugepages to apply to
.text segments of executables (if they execute the appropriate madvise()
call), leading to better performance.
Unfortunately, it is not enabled in Ubuntu. Please enable it.
Verified in 24.10:
# grep CONFIG_READ_ONLY_THP_FOR_FS /boot/config-6.11.0-8-generic
# CONFIG_READ_ONLY_THP_FOR_FS is not set
# lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 24.10
Release: 24.10
** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
