Little to no improvement with a few examples below:

i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=182866 end=182867) time 305 us, min 1073, max 1079, scanline start 1064, end 1084
i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=183368 end=183369) time 324 us, min 1073, max 1079, scanline start 1065, end 1085

One thing Im trying now is to tie the screen refresh back. Its detecting
60.01 Hz as well as 59.93 Hz so I have set to the lower one just to see
if it makes any difference

Ive also see a few folks trying
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="intel_idle.max_cstate=4" for similar types of
issues. Ill give that a whirl is the above refresh rate update doesnt
make any difference

Screen tearing on i915 driver

Bug description:
Im seeing screen tearing occasionally using an i915 graphics device on
a stock install on Ubuntu 24.04

Seems to coincide with the following outputs:

i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* Atomic update failure on pipe A (start=150495 end=150496) time 333 us, min 1073, max 1079, scanline start 1065, end 10857
i915 0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun

Not much to go on sadly (apologies).

Note that this was also a problem on 22.04 but appears to have been
resolved. This appears to be a regression therefore
