And yes, it is regression. also it does not work with kernel 6.6 (LTS).
However it does work perfectly well with kernel 6.1.92.

sorry, but I have no time or will to install and test with every non-
supported kernel versions inbetween 6.1 and 6.6 to see where the error
came back in.

This issue started with kernel 6.5. Bluetooth has been broken ever
since. The issue was not present in earlier versions of the kernel.
